BRITEFLEX
/ MULTIGLOSS INKS
(Surface printing inks for treated polyethylene, polypropylene)
Briteflex/multigloss inks maybe printed on a wide range
of films, aluminium foils, paper and board theses inks have good
adhesion to treated polyethylene, treated polypropylene, PVDC
coated cellulose film (PT), polyester nylon.
The recommended treatment level for polyethylene and polypropylene
film is at least 38 dynes/cm to ensure good adhesion and optimum
resistance properties.

|
TWIN PACK MULTIGLOSS AR INKS
Surface printing Gravure AR inks for treated polyethylene
TWIN PACK MULTIGLOSS AR INKS have been formulated for
gravure printing on treated polyethylene substrate, qualifying
the aggressive detergent and alkali resistance test making them
suitable for detergent packing.

VULCAN
Surface printing H/R inks for Coextruded polypropylene film
VULCAN is a range of inks formulated for flexo and gravure
printing on treated coextruded polypropylene/BOPP films used for
packing "Potato Chips" and similar crisp snack food
products. Vulcan inks exhibit excellent print qualities and adhesion
when run on the modern high speed presses.Vulcan inks ensure production
of prints having low odour and low solvent retention properties.
Vulcan inks also guarantee heat resistance suitable for many inks
- in - seal applications, products resistance towards animal /vegetable
fats and good scuff. However, Vulcan inks give moderate goss but
the gloss can be improved by application of heat resistant overcoat.

ULTRALAM
(Reverse Printing Gravure Lamination Inks for Polyester Film)
ULTRALAM inks have been carefully formulated to offer
sharp printability for solid as well as halftone jobs on polyester
film at varying press speeds. Good adhesive lamination characteristics
are - in built in these inks to make them suitable for lamination
with polyethylene film, aluminum foil, paper, board and metallised
film to satisfy the needs of a variety of packaging applications.

|
MODFLEX
(Surface printing vegetable oil resistant inks for treated polyethylene,
polypropylene by flexo/ Gravure)
MODFLEX inks have been carefully formulated for flexo
and gravure printing, satisfying the demand of high gloss and
high print strength and qualifying vegetable oil and spice resistance
test, hence making them suitable for polyethylene vegetable oil
packing.
For very aggressive brands of vegetable oil and spices (e.g.
certain mustard oil brands furmeric etc.) we recommend use of
twin packing multigolss AR inks.
MODFLEX inks have good adhesion to treated polyethylene,
treated polypropylene. These inks give inadequate adhesion on
untreated or improperly treated polyethylene and polypropylene
films. The recommended treatment level for polyethylene and polypropylene
films is at least 38 dynes/cm to ensure good adhesion and optimum
resistance properties.

POLYTONE
INKS
(Flexo half tone process inks)
Polytone inks have been specifically formulated to give
excellent dot reproduction and minimum dot gain for high quality
flexo half-tone printing of 4-colur process work in polyethylene,
certain other films, paper and boards. The careful balance of
resin and solvent combination has been designed to give (a) clean
running and fast drying properties at the high printing speeds
of modern flexo presses and (b) controlled drying for accurate
register at low make ready speeds with little or no alteration.
As Polytone inks are alcohol reducible and do not contain
hydrocarbon solvent they can be used with both photopolymer and
natural rubber stereos. Polytone inks have low odour and low solvent
retention and are ideally suited for food packing work. When a
base white is required, best results will be achieved using Polytone
white. Built-in-anti-static properties plus good slip and scuff
resistance are important properties of polytone inks that aid
trouble-free running on packaging machinery.

BRITESACK
(Surface printing inks for polyethylene, polypropylene woven sacks)
BRITESACK inks have been carefully formulated for flexo
printing to meet the demand of high gloss and high print strength
on a wide range of woven sack substrates. A separate reange is
available for for fertiliser resistant applications.
BRITESACK inks may be printed on wide range of PE and
PP woven sack very good scratch resistance is achieved if the
PE and PP surfaces are treated at minimum 38 dynes/cm.

|
SWAN
(Flexo water-based inks for paper and board)
SWAN water based flexo inks have been specially formulated
for surface printing on various paper and board substrates SWAN
inks offer good printability and high colour strength at low viscosities.
A separate range is available for label printing.
The careful choice of resins in SWAN inks gives clean
printing and high quality half-tone reproduction on Flexo machines.
SWAN inks dry rapidly on absorbent liner substrates such
as white top or kraft.

UNILAM INKS
(Reverse Printing Lamination Inks for BOPP & Polyester Film)
UNILAM INKS are unique in view of excellent halftone printability
and common application on both polyester and BOPP. Unilam Inks
are easy to manage under varying conditions. Excellent adhesive
lamination characteristic are achieved and prints can be laminated
to polyethylene, aluminum foil, paper or board to satisfy the
needs of a variety of packaging applications.
UNILAM INKS offer excellent adhesion on BOPP (Plain corona
treated at minimum 38 dynes-PCT) and polyester (plain untreated,
unprimed) film. Even though the inks give good adhesion on both
treated (38 dynes) and lowly treated side of BOPP film, it is
advisable to print on the treated side achieve better lamination
results. For polyester film, printing can be done on either side.

STARLAM
(A new generation Lamination inks common for polyester & BOPP)
STARLAM is a range of low odour lamination inks having
high bond strength and specifically formulated for reverse printing
on treated BOPP and untreated, unprimed plain polyester film.
Laminates printed with STARLAM have a wide range of application
in packaging. The low odour and low solvent retention characteristics
make it particularly suitable for the packaging of food products
e.g. Coffee, Biscuits, Snack Foods, Confectionary etc.
High bond characteristics of STARLAM make it suitable
for polyester laminates to pack liquids and heavy weight materials.
FEATURES
The unique features of STARLAM have been designed to meet
the stringent requirements of the laminated packaging employing
and BOPP substrates.
- Low odour in BOPP making it exclusive for food packaging.
- Low solvent retention.
- High lamination bond in Polyester.
- Good adhesion.
- Improved printability and tonal reproduction, particularly
at higher printing speeds.
- High colour strength.
A key temperature of 60-70.C (web) is normally sufficient. However,
the actual temperature can vary with substrate, process, press
conditions and printing speed.
